We measure the hate existing tools miss: coded language and hidden meanings that go beyond slurs, and the ways platforms and AI systems amplify it. Moderation tools remove hate after it appears. We work earlier, on the stories that make hate feel normal before it ever reaches a slur. We fund and conduct research, publish standards and build tools that help regulators, researchers, advocates and companies see hateful narratives online and stop them before they turn into real-world harm.
