About AddressHate
At the urging of Entrepreneur and Philanthropist Joshua Laterman’s children from their awareness of the growth of hate online, in September 2024, Mr. Laterman and his foundation, the Laterman Family Foundation created AddressHate to fight antisemitism and hate on social media. The goal of AddressHate is to maximize technology to identify the sources of hate, root out the technological vehicles for their advancement and spread, and find technological solutions to thwart and end hate.
Purpose of Conference
The purpose of the AddressHate All Anti- Hate Technologists Conference is to explore how we as technologists can combat the spread of digital hate through innovative technology-first approaches to developing tools and policy. As technologists, we will convene to collaborate to treat hate like a code that can be broken.
The Conference will be divided into three major sections, which while not mutually exclusive, will give us a blueprint for the resulting successful work product of our time together. Specifically we will address:
· Where does hate start?
· How is it disseminated?
· How do we use technology to address and combat it?
